In the mountains of the Alpujarra’s of Spain at 1200metres, set on terraces 500m above the small town of Lanjaron. With amazing sky, mountain & mediterranean views. Above us a beautiful & wooded river valley leads to some great waterfalls and eventually the High Mountains.

Simple elemental living up windy dirt tracks in earth huts and old stone cottage, with solar power, spring water, wood fires, new solar shower, compost loo, shared cooking / veggie food.
This is very much an adventure and in some ways you would be leaving some aspects of modern living behind.(you would need to bring your luxuries along – there is no popping out to the shops)
It would include everyone doing daily jobs – cutting wood/making a fire, cooking / baking bread, cleaning etc.
From October to April apart from a few weeks in Dec & Jan the weather is often sunny with blue skies & temps upwards of 20- although often cold at night
You would need to bring a good sleeping bag ( I can provide extra blankets)
Also Bring Boots / Warm Clothes for night

Days - include Chi Gung, Being in Nature & Gentle Walking,
And 2 or 3 days Visiting;- High Mountains, Charming Villages/ Market days, Tibetan Mountain Retreat Centre with amazing Stupa, Alhambra Palace & the old town of Granada, A Rocky cove on the Med .
Nights – Candle lit Chi Gung, relaxing around the fire – Sharing/ Discussing life issues, Taoist/Spiritual Stories and Free Time.
Off-season is obviously the cheapest time to fly.
We woud like to run a week in late February & again in May for 3 or 4 people
BUT THERE ARE DILEMMAS
The cost of the flights can be very expensive and mid-week tends to be the cheapest.
PLUS PERHAPS MORE IMPORTANTLY
Picking Up from the Airport
Flights to Granada have stopped so one can only fly to Malaga - which is 2.5 hours drive from my place.
So a return journey to Malaga is 5 hrs which I can only do ONCE a week so please speak to me (Jacob) about synchronising your arrival with other participants so that we can save both time and money. Fuel costs are split between everyone I pick up.
You can also catch a bus from Malaga to Granada (journey time approx. 3.5 hours). I can then organise to pick you from the Granada bus station, which is only 1 hours drive each way.
I have info on low cost accommodation in Granada – Granada is a lovely place to visit for a few days.
IF YOU WANT MORE TRAVEL ADVICE, PLEASE DO CONTACT ME!
Calculating the cost for the week is difficult – it depends on fuel costs once you've arrived including travel around the area.
Try to save at least £130 for these costs.
