Chi Gung means Inner Energy/ Breath Practice
For Chi Gung, each individual is characterised as having a distinct subtle energy nervous system/field. This contains energy channels with varying patterns of energy flowing through them, which gives the person an energy signature. This energy signature occurs as a mixture of birth propensities & life experiences. As well as having positive qualities there are blocks & imbalances, which affects inner strength, vitality & spirit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chi gung seeks to help a person to improve their 'energy signature' create a more fulfilling life. So key aim's here; are to clear blocks, restore balance & harmony and develop a persons inner strength,vitality & spirit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Tools used to aid such a transformation are a synthesis of practices : simple & repetitive Tai Chi Moves, Meditative awareness, Refining the Breath , gentle Yogic Stretches, Self Massage.
Chi Gung Practice is open to all Ages & levels of Physical Ability - everyone has their own unique starting point & rate of developement

By the way its imortant to know that Chi Gung is a blanket term like Yoga in India so there are many different approaches to chi gung -so it is wise for you to explore until you find a way that is right for you. Actually in some ways it could also be referred to as the Yoga of China . Their are many similarities between it & a gentle form of Yoga ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Repetitive slow 'Tai Chi' like Moves done with sensitivety & awareness of breath
Chi Gung Breathing – - deepening, expanding and refining the breath
Stretches - often more gently applied than classic yoga - melting stress - opening up the body
Grounding & Posture - opening up more fully the energy channels in your belly, legs,feet & back
Holding Postures - to inwardly explore your body & tension patterns - allow energy & blood to flow around the whole body
Self Massage & Tapping - to release tension & soften the body
Meditative Awareness - Learning to merge Mind, Breath & Body Movement - to reach a high state of inner being
